It must have a thesis statement. Madison is saying factions are horrible but we can’t get rid of them because the solutions are worse then the problem, there, we need to manage then by creating a large republic instead of a small democracy and a federalist system with a national government instead of a confederate system run by the states.
1st Paragraph: Identifying the problem, Opening paragraph, Introducing what’s going on, and also why does madison say that why a pure democracy or direct democracy doesn’t work?
Too much power at one of the levels of government, and find a simple way of fixing it, and the solution is to come up with is a representative democracy with federalism (federalist republic)
2nd Paragraph: A republic, and why a republic is going to fix this issues connecting to 1st paragraph 3rd Paragraph: Focusing Federalism, and addressing issues that were addressed in the 2nd paragraph 4th Paragraph: Conclusion, Restate the Thesis, tie things together.
