Is it right, the right road to America?
ABSTRACT
Many people around the world dream about becoming a citizen of United States of America, and it seems at times, a challenging road to go through. Immigration is a very sensitive and complex subject that is debated in our daily life regardless of who you are, where are you from, your creed, racial background or your party affiliation. The “road” for immigrants has been known to be long, though, and for many people unfair. These individuals, many times, go through family separations, some feel intimidated by law enforcement, others live in extreme poverty and develop health issues due to the poor nutrition or being unable to receive medical care. This paper is especially important, because it touches personal situations and highlights main valuable keys regarding different opinions in this topic. It also studies different researches and statistics concerning the value and cultural contribution of immigrants to this nation, as well as the big dilemma of implementing and making mandatory for all immigrants to speak English. Finally, we will be exploring how far should the system of our country go in tolerance of immigration and navigate different options and suggestions made by Chua to have a better control of immigration and law flow in United States of America.
THESIS STATEMENT
American foundation was built by immigrants, and the diversity of our nation is our strong suit to progress. However, there should be a limit in this diversity and immigrants should contribute to American society and adapt to all guidelines that make America a great country. The Right Road to America supports how immigration affect or help America and its citizens.

Generally, the language spoken, reflects or defines the country of birth, but is nor necessarily the same country of immigration. For instance, “Spanish-speaking” immigrants can come from different countries around the world, and dominate for example, Miami’s foreign-born residents. Today, the variety of different immigrant languages surpasses what it was during the first surge of immigration and has always been an issue with the system of immigration of United States of America. Diversity in language can be seen or viewed by many, as a barrier to community bonds. Some people feel that the cultural and financial cost of diverse population in United States are too high, and two examples of it, are language and crime. Language is required to communicate in schools, for emergency service purposes, work, and many more cases, and research show that training and teaching English language to immigrants has a high cost for the country. These are some of the many reasons why there is many people against immigration laws allowing people from other countries to come and stay in United States, and utilize the resources that in their minds, are only for Native-Americas.
Changing Faces: Immigrants and Diversity in the Twenty-First Century
Culture is a group of people sharing same beliefs, attitudes and goals and even though beliefs can change, it mostly remains consistent over time. Immigration has made United States of America and the entire world more culturally diverse, sheltering many people of many backgrounds from different parts of the world; but is variety a blessing? For many people the response has been no, and it is just obvious when it has been proved that racial, religious and ethnic variety often causes violence. This source talks about how other countries have fallen due to the large amount of communities of immigrants that did not adapt and did not follow the guidelines of that specific country. Some examples of these countries are Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia that got affected by the remarkable battle and unequal treatment between communities. The visible success of America has been due to the immigration laws and how the system has welcomed immigrants to our land and helped them and provided opportunities to succeed and for them to help better our nation.

This source argues about the need of changing or modifying immigration laws and our dynamic economy. This article also researches about the number of immigrants coming into the country, and how polls show that Mexicans are still majority of all immigrants that are living in the United States, but. Are not necessarily the majority group of new immigrants entering the nation. The article also indicate how Asian are taking the place of Hispanic immigrants and it has been said that American economy requires high skilled workers and Mexicans unfortunately have a lower education level than Indians and Asians. As this source mentions, there is three ideas to improve legal immigration and better the economy of the country and includes: A green card to mid-skilled workers, guest worker visas, and the third one is an immigration tariff charging a fee for a permanent work visa or a green card. These ideas allow more flexibility and openness for immigrants who want a better future, and at the same time, help making America stronger.
