Review the following reading, follow instructions in detail and complete the assignment.

Go to: Link (Links to an external site.) and read the Overview, About the IAT”, Ethical Considerations and Frequently Asked Questions to get an understanding of the assessment. Next click on ”Take a Test” (you do not have to register or identify yourself ) scroll down and click “I wish to Proceed” then click on “Race IAT” and take the test. (you needn’t log in to take the IAT).

Based on the results of your Race IAT and on your understanding of the introductory reading please respond in writing to the following 3 questions demonstrating your understanding, grasp and interpretation. Submit a copy of your RACE IAT results page to verify that you took the assessment. You can scan/paste it as an attachment to your submission. Please do not submit a link to your assessment as this will not work.

Describe the RACE IAT; what does it measure and what does it tell you about conscious/unconscious racial bias?
Interpret your individual Race IAT score and describe what it tells you about yourself. What may have surprised you about the assessment?
Describe how and why the Race IAT can contribute to an understanding of racism, stereotypes and unconscious biases among people and identify any drawbacks.
