IDEO Deep Dive Reflection Paper

Write a 600-750 word paper sharing your reflection on the video. Include, at a minimum:  Three (or more) takeaways or lessons learned that resonate with you.  Tell me why these resonate  In what ways could these be applied in your business or your current/future work? PURPOSE: Innovation is critical and fundamental to an organization’s future. Change is a constant – not a discrete project or strategy, but what an organization and its people experience. IDEO is probably the premier design firm at works with businesses, governments and nonprofits to design products and services and make them better. The Deep Dive video looked at the shopping cart. IDEO also designed the first mouse for Apple, and has done a project to improve the Los Angeles Public School District’s cafeteria/lunch program! The purpose of this assignment is for you to delve into a real innovation project, and to analyze and draw lessons from how IDEO applies their methodology to improving a common product. CRITERIA: Your paper will be assessed:  Writing mechanics, grammar, clarity, organization: 20-30%  Content: (1) Your description of your 3 takeaways/lessons learned, (2) Your discussion on why these resonate with you and (3) how you will or may apply these in your work or life. 75-80%
