Abstract of an article or chapter relating to design and art

Writing an informative (rather than a descriptive) abstract which is basically a summary in your own words of an article or chapter relating to design and art.

First find an article. You want to get your hands on an art-related article at least 8 pages of TEXT long,not counting illustrations. I would prefer an online article. Read the article or chapter of your choice very carefully so that you know its language very well.

You have to write an abstract about 200 words long, one paragraph in length, with a bibliographic citation as its heading

An abstract is basically a very well structured summary. However, it is more technical than that. It must meet certain requirements. First of all, you need a bibliographic heading for the work, giving the author, title, publisher, place of publication, date of publication, and page numbers that the abstract has abstracted (you would have learned how to write such a bibliographic citation when you created a works-cited list in MLA style for your research paper written for the prerequisite course Foundations of Research Writing). Also, the first one or two sentences have a lot of work to do in an abstract. They must objectively describe the purpose, style, and content of the work being abstracted.
