I was thinking of doing a paper about how the ethics of care doesn’t work well as an ethical theory but instead it only really works as a strategy for preserving our relationships with others. Because of this I was going to argue that care ethics could be incorporated into Nussbaum’s non-relative virtue theory as it’s own virtue (the virtue being care). I would’ve written something about how the two help make up for the others weaknesses – Care ethics not being applied well to moral scenarios and Nussbaum’s theory not taking into consideration our relationships with others enough.
