Analysis of a Major Sacramental Prayer

Students will analyse a major liturgical prayer from a sacramental rite, identifying the structure and purpose of the prayer’s sections, noting its key theological themes and scriptural references, articulating what the prayer communicates about the sacrament, identifying how the prayer functions within the overall context of the sacramental rite, and what outcomes it achieves for the individual recipient of the sacrament and the Christian community overall.
