In your paper, you
should give a succinct description of how the work/s of art is/are displayed in the space you
choose, and how that affects your reception of them. You might choose to note factors such as:
the lighting in the room, the presence (or absence) of other artworks in the immediate area
surrounding your focus, the color of the walls, the presence (or absence) of a wall text or
informational label, the height of pedestals (if it is a 3-dimensional work), the frame (if it has
one), etc. In addition to describing this context, you should comment briefly on its effects. How
does it make you feel? Does it make the work seem more unique, more similar to the works
around it, more imposing, more delicate?
