Marks will be awarded for the following
Understanding of task – clear review of the given article showing strong evidence of the ability to critically
evaluate arguments/data (40 marks).
Critical thinking- evidence of independence of thought and clear demonstration of an extensive understanding of the concepts and principles relevant to the assessment. (20 marks)
Structure and effectiveness of argument- paragraphs developed in a logical manner with a convincing stance on the topic. Concise and accurate language combined with a fluent academic style (incl. broad vocabulary range) (20 marks)
Citation and reference list – use of in-text citations where appropriate and Harvard style reference list (10 marks)
Conclusion – clarity of conclusion which clearly links to the main points and justification for conclusion (10 marks)
