Clinical Supervision

Students will complete the assigned readings as noted, write a 3-4 content page paper (in APA Style, 6 th edition) responding to the topic prompts below, and bring a hard copy to class on the assigned date in the Course Schedule. Papers will apply the topic and content of the readings to a current or recent case or situation encountered at the Practicum site. The purpose of this assignment is to synthesize clinical and conceptual knowledge across the curriculum, and to apply it to actual client and site interactions.

Clinical supervision is a standard training modality to help you on your journey to being a professional counselor. Supervisors can take on multiple roles, including both supporting and challenging you. What are your reactions to your midterm evaluation? What are you most and least surprised by? What struggles are you having at your site, and how can supervision help you with them? List three areas or skills for improvement, and share your plans for how you will address these in supervision, including individual, group, and triadic.
