compare and contrast poems

Compare any two poems we have read this semester on the basis of a shared theme. For this topic, you are likely to be able to expand what you have posted to a discussion into a more formal paper. Our discussions of poetry have been grouped around very broad themes, and you may need to focus your comparison a bit more. For example, two poems may be about food or home, but that may not be enough to make them comparable. If, though, the two poems you select, for example, use food as a way of thinking about their parents or their own identity, that gives you more to compare and contrast.
