The critical assignment in this course is a presentation on Medicare, Medicaid, or the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
You should identify and describe major components, responsibilities, and current structure of the chosen health care agency.
You should critically examine, analyze, and explain the role of the chosen health care agency, in relation to U.S. health care delivery, and the resulting impact on health and wellness.
You should provide a detailed and well-developed explanation of what was learned, which includes specific applications/relationships to the field of public health, an analysis of relevant resources utilized and/or needed for U.S. health care delivery changes to occur, an identification of major public health challenges facing the healthcare delivery system, and an explanation of possible future directions for the chosen health care agency.
Your presentation should be academically sound and professional, strongly supported with a minimum of five credible/academic research sources, clear, objective, engaging, and contain both audio and visual components. Refer to the rubric scoring criteria for a detailed list of expectations.
You must integrate information learned throughout the course to fully address all aspects and requirements of the critical assignment. As a reminder, the critical assignment for this course and must be passed at an acceptable rate (defined as 70%) in order to pass the course.
