Discussions 5th_week discussion pitching yourself using rhetoric

1. Select 7 of the rhetorical techniques [Rhetorical Techniques Covered in Modules’ Notes already attached] and define them. Examples help. (Google is your friend when you find definitions, but your examples should be in your own words.) These are all terms that appear in our weekly Reading Notes, by the way 🙂

2. Jay Heinrichs writes, “The ideal trait [in a CEO is] . . . the ability to tell a compelling life story and make yourself desirable.” Imagine you’re in the elevator with the CEO of your dream job. (Be sure to tell us his or her name.) You have twenty seconds to sell yourself to him or her.
Write a 4-6 sentence monologue expressing how your skills match the company’s needs!
Try to use one of your rhetorical techniques, though you are not required to.
