Economics Paper Task

Select only three of the topics from the list below to discuss in detail. Ensure that you do not define the terms that you discuss, but that you focus on the changing trends that impact the overall macroeconomic indicators (using the appropriate terminology) and the cause(s) of the changes. This section should be at least 2 pages.

Real GDP per capita (GDP growth rates) – How are the changes in the industry impacting the changes measured in GDP in two different countries? Note at least two separate instances (One for each country). Specifically focus on what components are changing the GDP values for each country because of the industry changes. Also focus on changes that are not accounted for in GDP (which will understate the true GDP values for each country).
Unemployment rate – What are the unemployment trends in two different nations within this industry/topic of focus? Ensure to also focus on differences in unemployment rates in gender, race, age, and/or ethnicity (or other demographic areas). You can also expound on underemployment factors in your research.

Inflation (or CPI if you are unable to access the information on inflation) – How are the price levels in this field of interest impacting the overall inflation rate in two different countries? Provide specific examples of the current trends in the inflation rates for your topic.

National debt/Fiscal policy/Government Funding – How is the government funding (or lack thereof) for this industry for your area of interest impacting the overall debt levels for the two country focuses?
