Effective communication

Communication is extremely important, and we communicate very poorly.

If you have a conversation in a high-traffic area full of noise, the barriers can prevent you from communicating effectively.
People interpret messages differently, so if you aren’t clear in stating exactly what you mean or the person doesn’t understand what you mean, it may be misinterpreted.
If you talk to a person and they fail to listen to you, the conversation was all for nothing.
If a person’s body language, tone, pace/volume, or pitch doesn’t fit the conversation, the entire message could be misinterpreted.
Some people do not have good written communication skills. This hinders their ability to communicate clearly, and it makes them look incompetent–even though they may be brilliant.
Your internal stress (too much going on in your head) can impact effective communication.
People pay more attention to their cell phones and tablets than they do participating fully in a conversation.
Because we are such poor communicators, research Effective Communication Skills and write a formal report with your findings.

Insert a Title Page.
Insert a Table of Contents.
Include two pages (two COMPLETE pages) of information. Format using title and paragraph headings and page numbering.
Use footnotes to cite your references.
Include a Bibliography page.
