Experimental Research

As you have learned this week, a true experimental research design must include: pre-test/post-test, test group/control group, and random assignment of subjects.  A quasi-experimental design is employed when one or more of these qualifications cannot be met in a study.  Find a peer-reviewed journal article of interest to you that features a true experimental design and answer the following questions:
What technique was used to select subjects and assign them to groups?
What are the independent and dependent variables?
What threats exist in this design?
What conclusions can be made from this research?
What suggestions can be offered to address the threats to the study?
