Future Art Historian
• In this assignment, imagine that you are an art historian investigating the art and architecture of your city. The year is 4020, at least 2000 years from now. In at least 1 page, describe what art, architecture and cultural items would you find and why? What would you not find and why? Based on your findings, how would you assess the culture of our civilization?
• Include at least 3 images. To embed images, use “image icon” not paper clip. These images can be taken from your own collection of photos of spaces you’ve been to or by taking screenshots from the pedestrian view on google maps. Please do not include other people’s images found online.
• Apply the “Questions Art Historians Ask” and the Art Vocabulary from pg. 1-7 in your response, as well as reasons art survives or not, from Week 1 Lectures.
