Midterm Paper Guide Your midterm paper is meant to be an opportunity for self-analysis. Stemming from what you perceive as your needs, values, goals and passions this paper should ultimately be an identification and assessment of your current state. The primary goal is to become aware of what drives you, makes you tick and creates meaning in your life. 1. List five of your current and most important needs beyond food, water and shelter in the order of importance. These are physical and/or emotional needs that help fulfill your daily life. For example (knowing my children are happy and safe, matcha green tea, beauty and peace in my home, dance/exercise, creativity and flexibility in my work) 1. HEALTH 2. TIME 3. POWER 4. KNOWLEDGEABLE 5. SOCIAL CONTACT 2. I have included a list of values with this midterm guide. There may be some values that are not listed. Feel free to include them. Taking your list of needs into consideration, list your top ten values in order of importance. Taking the time to identify and list these values should help bring some clarity to what’s important to you, what may be missing and maybe some issues you might want to explore or work on. 1. What you need and value hopefully helps to bring or identify your passions in life. Many times you won’t know or understand your passions unless you have the opportunity to engage in activities that ignite them. For some it takes time and for some passions may be immediately revealed or known. What are your passions? What ignites your passion? I love documentary photography. When I was young, I saw a couple on the Internet. They traveled around the world and left many beautiful photos. This made me realize that the photo records every moment of life, it is sometimes good, sometimes bad. When I joined the CCA photography program. I use the most classic methods of photography to record every moment I study here, the people and things I have encountered. The photo aroused my passion for photography. 4. Write a three to four-page paper (double spaced) exploring the above concepts with the purpose of self-exploration and understanding.
