Final Paper – please select 1 of the 3 topics below. Write a well written paper of not less than 5 pages based on our work this semester and your independent research. The paper should include a minimum of 4 sources 1 of which may be the text.
Topic 1: Research and analyze an Arbitration case decision related to employment/labor 
relations* or 
Research and analyze an NLRB ruling.*
Topic three should contain the following:
• Overview of the circumstances that lead to the dispute
• Summary of the decision
• How the case relates to course learning’s.
• Personal position/viewpoint
• A copy of the case decision must be submitted with assignment
· Arbitration cases and NLRB rulings can be found in various locations on the internet. You may look to the American Arbitration Association, the NLRB webpage or various union websites.
Topic 2: As a union organize, describe in detail the process that you will enlist to organize a brand new group of employees seeking union certification. The employer is a manufacturer that employs a wide array of workers.
Your paper should include:
• Necessary steps to run a campaign including both legal and illegal strategies.
• A description of how to determine unit appropriateness
• How to achieve a showing of interest
• Possible employer anti-union tactics
• Running an election

Topic 3: You are the chair of your negotiating team (labor or management). Describe the following:
• Team composition (justify your choices)
• Sources for proposal are development
• How your team will engage in good faith bargaining
• Will you utilize integrative or distributive bargaining strategies?
• Discuss the ethics of negotiations.
