In this assignment, please read the uploaded TWO readings and then write according to the requirements below.

Instructions

Use the following headings and information to complete the assignment:

Problem Statement: Outline the fundamental problem of your case study (1-2 paragraphs)
Historical background to the problem: What historical factors have led to the problem?
Contemporary/recent situation of the problem: What is the current situation of the problem? Why are the effects, and for whom? Who are the key actors (migrants / institutions) involved in the problem?
How do people experience the problem: If available, draw on empirical research which describes how people’s narrate and experience the problem in their own words. If not available, try to consider why people in this situation might have been overlooked in social science research.
Theoretical dimensions of the problem: How do the experiences of people in this situation reflect certain theories we have worked on in class?
Alternatives and future changes: How could the problem be addressed in the future? What changes could be made to ‘improve’ (or eradicate) this problem, and why?
Reflexive Commentary: What did you learn from doing this case study?

You need to use a total of 5 sources. TWO of the 5 sources must be the two uploaded readings.
You need to use MLA citation style following the uploaded MLA requirement.

My advice:

DO NOT MAKE REFUGEES OR MIGRANTS THEMSELVES ‘THE PROBLEM’
Ensure that you frame the problem as the situations of violence/constrained agency that refugees/migrants are confronted with in situations of displacement
Please draw on the advice and suggested references I have provided you in feedback on your case study proposal
