Intermittent Fasting – POP CULTURE

The object is to clarify your understanding of what popular culture is all about. All of your work will focus on the concept of INTERMITTENT FASTING as a pop culture phenomenon. Your total responses will incorporate most of our work since the midterm.
Thus, here is the final project: Discuss INTERMITTENT FASTING as a pop culture phenomenon through the lens of Hegemony, Globalization, Institutional Power, Performance Art, and as a Subcultural and Countercultural Movement. Finally, if there were to be an advertising campaign promoting intermittent fasting, then what would be the difference between a campaign devised by an advertising executive with a pop culture background and one without? In this last section, please…PLEASE…no three sentence responses.
This project should be AT LEAST 3 FULL pages in length (PLEASE, no big spaces in between sections and paragraphs…you know what I’m talking about). You can construct the project in paragraph form or in sections as we have done with the prompt/response format. CITE AT LEAST FIVE SOURCES for this project. Once again, as we stated in the beginning of the course, remember that pop culture is all about making that which is commonplace strange. There are no wrong answers here as long as you defer to those concepts. Once you think it through, it’s easier than you might imagine and thus you will do a great job on this project!
