issue spotting exercise

There are eight short answer/essay questions for this exam. Each question represents a chapter with Chapters 12 & 13 have one question. Pick FOUR out of the EIGHT questions to answer. Each question is worth 50 points for a total of 200 points (The Final Exam is only actually worth 150 points in the syllabus so your graded points in the grade center will reflect what you earned out of 150).

Each answer should be double spaced and in 12pt font using the correct chapter concepts. Each answer should be NO LONGER than one page in length. Label the question number that you are answering. The grading rubric can be found attached to the exam. Read it carefully. This exam is worth 15% of your grade.

REFERENCES: When referencing the textbook, cite the chapter and page number. For example: (Ch 21, p 471). If you are using any supplemental materials from Blackboard, reference the source. There is no research required outside the materials provided on Blackboard.

GRADING: I will convert grades from a 200-point exam to 150 by using percentage.
Example: If a student receives 180 points out of 200, it would be a 90% score on the exam. This would convert to a score of 135/150 because 135 is 90% of 150.

EXTRA CREDIT: Answer a fifth short answer/essay for up to 5 points added to your Final Exam grade.

HINT: This is an issue-spotting exercise. Use as many vocabulary words and chapter concepts as possible. Even if something is not exactly applicable (but close), you can still use the vocabulary to rule out that concept.
Example: if there was larceny involved, you would define larceny but also robbery and burglary to distinguish the concepts.

HINT: I have made many comments on homework to define the vocabulary words and concepts from the book. This means that you do not simply “tell” me that something is applicable. You “show” me that it is applicable by defining and describing the concept/word.
Example: simply stating that something is a bilateral contract does not explain why it is a bilateral contract.
