Lifespan Development

Write a reflection paper (600 to 1000 words) on the two approaches on ‘identity and the narrative’ we gained hands-on experience, namely the AUCAUP online discussion (small stories approach) and the Life story interview (big stories approach).

Discuss the following:

1) The AUCAUP online discussion:

a) interpersonal, intercultural, technological aspects

b) formal aspects of the analysis (What you did, including transcribing, coding
c) results (what you learned from the analysis) and conclusion (what you’ve learned from the entire experience)

2) The Life Story Interview

a) finding an interviewee, conducting an interview (including the interviewer’s self reflection)

b) what you learned from the interview itself and how it is related to our course on development over the life course

3) Differences, commonalities of the two approaches

4) conclusion (relevance for empirical research in psychology, or relevance for practice, relevance for your own learning)
