1000-1200 words, follow MLA format, double-spaced, 1-inch margins, 12 point type.
At least 3 sources from journals or books in addition to the source text.
Nothing from the open internet. Please use the Library databases. The Works Cited page should have at least 3 sources in addition to whatever works you discuss from the anthology.
The Research Paper should have a clear thesis that makes a claim and is supported by three substantial examples that have been drawn from the literature we have covered. Demonstrate you can incorporate outside sources into your argument.
Your thesis does not necessarily need to be highly original.
EXAMPLE: The theme of death touches all of humanity, and it permeates much of the literature of the world.
Outside sources should be well integrated into the argument in the same way multiple fabrics and stitches compose a quilt.
