Microsoft Excel “Roll of the Die”

Students are to create a game on Excel depicting two players rolling a fair six-sided die. The rules of the game are simple. The player that rolls the biggest number (1 – 6) wins. Students are to play at least 500 rounds, analyzing the results after every 100 rounds. Students are to interpret the findings accordingly and with as much accuracy as possible. Students will analyze the probability of success in various ways. See the chart below. What is happening to the percentage of successes for Player 1, Player 2, and Ties? Recall the Rock, Paper, Scissor game. What is happening to the percent of successes for values 1 – 6 as more rounds are played?

*Note1: For [P1 – % of Rolls of 1,2,3,4,5, and 6] and [P2– % of Rolls of 1,2,3,4,5, and 6] what I want from you is to analyze the % of times each number is rolled over the course of all the rounds. Theoretically, each value has an equal chance of being rolled. The idea is to see if the more rounds that are played; do we slowly get to a place where there is an equal percent of rolls for each value?
