You can choose any topic, as long as you have a sound argument and can provide adequate ethos, logos, and pathos to back up your argument. Your outline should resemble the outline found in the textbook.
Be sure to include:
Topic, General Purpose, Specific Purpose
Introduction (attention grabber, listener relevance, established credibility, thesis statement)
Body (must include 3 main points organized by roman numerals with included subpoints)
Conclusion (re cap of thesis and main points, call to action)
