0-24%
Fail. Does not address the specific assessment criteria. No clear structure. Contains irrelevant material; fails to address the specific assessment criteria. Little or no referencing; poor expression.
25-39%
Marginal fail. Poor structure and discussion lacking relevance to the specific assessment criteria. Vague generalisations indicating knowledge of basic ideas not understood. Poor referencing and expression. But shows some potential.
40-49%
Specific assessment criteria inadequately addressed, with parts of the assignment under- developed. Does not communicate ideas clearly. Problems with referencing and expression
50-59%
Specific assessment criteria addressed, though lacking sufficient depth and some ideas not fully understood. Work structured, but contains some inconsistencies. Fair referencing and expression.
60-69%
Displays some of the qualities of the highest band, but some aspects not fully developed. Correct referencing and ideas clearly expressed.
70 – 100%
Clearly structured work in which the specific assessment criteria are correctly addressed. Demonstrates a clear understanding of the ideas under discussion. Correct referencing and ideas clearly expressed.
