Product Team Report & Presentation Guidelines

What: Select an SAP product from https://www.sap.com/products.html
Where: Select an organization that you would all like to work for (example: UWL, Starbucks, Nike,
Target, etc).
Scenario:
You and your teammates were recently hired by (fill in your selected organization). You are all business analysts
and one of the key responsibilities for your team is to recommend new technology product solutions that improve
the competitive and operational performance of your organization. Your team believes the selected SAP product
solution will benefit your organization. Your team will be presenting and writing a report to the executive team
of the organization to justify and provide a strong recommendation on your selected SAP product. The job of
your team is to sell why your team recommends this SAP product solution and how it will benefit your
organization. This report and presentation is critical to the current and future competitive position of your
organization. The paper and presentation must be written for non-technical business executives. Your team must
clearly explain why this SAP product solution is needed. The paper and presentation will be evaluated based on
how convincing and supported the recommendation is. Be sure to provide a strong justified recommendation. Be
convincing.
The report and presentation will include the following:
• An introduction to the SAP product.
• An analysis of the benefits and disadvantages of the product to your selected organization.
• Case example(s) and discussion on implementation of the product.
• Overall recommendation of the SAP product solution. Be sure to focus on the “why”. Why should your
organization adopt the SAP product selected? Be convincing, be creative.
Paper Requirements
• Margins: 1 inch
• Spacing: Double-Spaced
• Font: 12-point Times Roman font, double-spaced
• Length: 4-6 Pages
• Cover Page, Reference List (these do not count in your 4-6-page length requirement)
Presentation Requirements
• 10-15 minutes total
• All team members must present (Teams are 2-4 students max)
• Be creative, sell your recommended solution. Creativity is highly encouraged and rewarded. Get the
audience involved and entertained. Past examples include: games, custom videos, etc…
Attendance is required on all presentation days. Students not attending all presentations will lose 15% of their
associated project report grade for each day not attending (outstanding circumstances will be considered).
In sum, you need to attend all presentation days. Students must also ask a question or comment during all
presentation days. Presentation grades are given individually. All students must present equally and respond to
audience questions. Any video’s used must have the option of closed captioning.
One team member submits both the report and presentation to the SAP Team Project D2L Folder
