The 1999 protests against the WTO in Seattle, Washington, during the WTO’s Ministerial Conference, known as the “Battle in Seattle.” The protests drew over 50,000 protesters.
Protests against the WTO, held in Geneva, Switzerland, ten years later in 2009.

Did the WTO adequately address the criticisms of it?
Are people justified in protesting against the WTO?
Does the use of violence detract from the points of those who protest nonviolently?
Should these protests and criticisms be allowed, or should they be curbed?
In your opinion, do protests lead to change?
