Prepare a proposal that is no more than one page for your main Econ 109 paper. The first paragraph should clearly describe a real-world or fictional strategic situation. If you choose a real-world strategic situation, it can be something you have personally experienced or something that you have learned from the media. The second paragraph should incorporate all the elements in our formal definition of a game. Don’t just give a list of answers in point form; work them into the narrative in an appropriate way. You may include a graph of the extensive form, the normal form matrix, other mathematics or other illustrations if it helps your explanation. You have no more than one page to tell a busy reader everything they need to know about the proposal. Your paper should be typed and well written. I recommend a font like Calibri in 11-point size or Times New Roman in 12-point size. A line spacing of 1.15 and 6 point spacing after paragraphs gives a nice balance of readability and compactness. A grader will indicate your degree of originality for your proposal. Originality will have no impact on your grade for this proposal. Originality will impact your grade for your main paper. You will be free to write about a different topic for a main paper if you would like to do so.
