Psychological topic

What psychological topic would you like to know more about? You can pick any topic; it doesn’t have to be a topic discussed in Chapter 1. Remember, psychologists study behavior and mental processes, so be sure that the topic you select is psychological in nature. Feel free to check with me if you aren’t sure whether your topic of interest is something psychologists study. If you are stuck, it might help to look through your text for topic ideas. Your topic can be general or specific. Discuss your interest in this topic. Why do you find it interesting? Why do you want to learn more? What do you already know about the topic?
Next, find a professional website that addresses your topic. Provide the URL and a brief summary of the information the website presents on your topic.
Finally, which of the 7 current perspectives in psychology (see Table 1.1 and examples on page 11 of the text) best applies to your topic and why? Be specific in your explanation. The lecture on “Contemporary Perspectives Used in Psychology” provides more information on these perspectives than the textbook, so it will probably be helpful to read the lecture before completing this assignment.
