You are going to prepare a family‐tree (as in genealogy) that focuses on the cultural and family influences on your current values, beliefs, biases and stereotypes. You may discuss/interview family members to deepen your understanding of the cultural context in which your grandparents, parents and you have lived and how that context has contributed to the development of prejudice, both positive and negative. Answer the following questions using Chapter 10 , Chapter 11, and your life experiences.
Your Genogram should answer/address the following questions/topics:
What is prejudice? Who are your people? Where are they from? What are your religious beliefs?
What are the Affective, Behavioral, & Cognitive aspects of prejudice?What are your ethnic/cultural beliefs about people who look like you (your in-group)?
