Pretend that the following happened to you:

You notice that your teenage daughter is different from your younger child. For example, your
teenager is engaging in more risk-taking and reckless behaviors and she is “gawky” in
appearance. However, because you recently finished taking PSY 351 (The Adolescent
Experience), you know that these behaviors are normal due to the cognitive, biological, and
15 emotional changes that teenagers experience. Explain based on what you learned in chapters 1, 2 and 3.

In order to complete this assignment, you will have to use what you have learned in chapters 1,
2 and 3 and write a short essay (5 pages, double-spaced, 12 pt. font, 1 in. margins, and typed)
that describes the cognitive, biological and emotional changes that teenagers experience. Your
essay should include an introduction with a thesis statement, body, and conclusion.
