Public Health Historical Milestones

Assignment: Write an essay providing a historical overview on Public Health. This assignment should demonstrate your proficiency in the following four course competencies:

1: Examine the history and evolution of current U.S. and global health care delivery systems and structures. Produce a short introduction to a component of the U.S. health care delivery system.
2: Summarize historical milestones related to the component.
3: Describe how a specific milestone is related to a specific health care management career.
4: Analyze the significance of the milestone to the health care management career.

It is important to understand how the overall system evolved to the present moment. Therefore, the coursework in this assessment concentrates on building your fundamental knowledge base regarding the history and evolution of health care delivery. Your focus will be on the historical milestones in basic components of the U.S. health care delivery system: Public health.
