Rich Point Project: Part 4 (Final Paper)

This final paper is worth the most points among assignments related to your final project.

This paper requires:

6 scholarly and/or relevant books, articles, or book chapters related to your rich point.
6 observations related to your rich point. (remember, these observations need to reflect six new observation experiences that took place during this semester)

The final should have the following structure:

1. Title page
2. Introduction
– An account of your rich point (draw from Part 1 and Part 2)
3. Body — this should be the bulk of your paper
– Explanation of rich point (explain the meaning of the confusing/intriguing conduct at the center of your rich point from the perspective of the speech community you identified as the source of that conduct; find a way to reference all 6 scholarly sources and all 6 of your observations) (draw from Part 3)
4. Reflection
– Reflect on the conduct you have just explained from your own perspective; feel free to discuss the value of the conduct, whether you think it’s right or wrong, or whether you think the speech community should change this conduct.
5. References
– List all 6 of your scholarly sources using the APA reference format
– List all six of your observations on your observation tracker

Your paper should be 15-20 pages long. Everything you include in your paper counts toward the final page count!

You will be graded based on the following criteria:

– The extent to which it matches assignment requirements (i.e., do you have all parts of the assignment, have you adequately addressed each part of the assignment, have you meet the page requirement, etc.)
– Writing quality (spelling, grammar, etc.)
– Formatting (you must adhere to APA formatting guidelines) (make sure to cite your sources/references)
