Sociological Research Project / Presentation

Research is essential to a beginning course in sociology so each student is going to conduct a minor research project with a written report. We will discuss in class the way in which you will conduct this experiment while keeping in mind ethical considerations. Becoming “wise, honorable, and cultivated citizens” includes using research ethics as an experimenter. There are 2 papers that will be submitted; the proposal and the actual research project. I must approve your proposal BEFORE the research project is conducted. After approval, you will complete your experiment and research project paper. This is what both papers should include:

Research: (5 pages)
1)Selecting a topic(1page)
2)Formulating a hypothesis(1page)
3) Research method(1page)
4)Results(1page)
5)Insight(Personal Reaction Page) (1page)

You will write 1 page, double-spaced for each step of the proposal and research experiment papers ( 5 pages for the research project minimum). These results/findings will be shared in class for your presentation points.
