Choose one of the four major sociological theories discussed in this course. Craft an original, well-written critical summary of the ideas entailed by the theory. Should contain 2 major components: an objective part (the summary) and a subjective part (the critical analysis). Be sure to include major terms and concepts which pertain to the theory as discussed in chapters 1-4 of the book (intro to soc). Address the following questions: what is the major point of the theorist under discussion? What is the major area of social life being theorized about by the theorist? How accurately/ effectively does the theorist you are working on analyze and deceive what they are set out to theorize? If they offer solutions to problems that they allege exist, how effective are the proposed solutions? What do they tell us about the future, is anything? Finally, is the theory under analysis (by you) a good theory or a bad theory and why? (Must use complete sentences and paragraphs, do not repeat directory information from the pages of your text, use page numbers, normal font, normal font size (times new Roman and 12), use normal page margins (double space), do not use first person, DO NOT PLAGIARIZE, use at least one citation and in doing so use the APA format, citation is on a separate page, should have an introductory paragraph, a clearly identifiable thesis statement, several body paragraphs, and a conclusion
