REQUIREMENTS/DESCRIPTION OF-“Strategic Perspective Analysis Paper”
Students will analyze multiple elements of an organization (that the student is familiar with, either through experience or research) in preparation for the creation of a plan for an organizational initiative (this should be an initiative you think is needed not one currently happening). An organizational initiative can be a restructuring of leadership, a shift in policy, the adoption of new technology, changes due to company growth, changes due to company dissolution, or departmental reorganization.
The Strategic Perspective Analysis Paper will have five sections:
1. an introduction of the organization being analyzed (team, division, or whole organization level);
2. a discussion of structure of the organization (leadership, departments, stakeholders);
3. a review of ‘the big picture’ (what is going on in and around the organization that is important to know);
4. an analysis of strategic objectives, important relationships, significant patterns, and past trends;
5. a discussion of the initiative you believe is needed by this organization; and
6. a conclusion.
The paper should be 6-8 pages (2100-2800 words), double-spaced, 12 pt. Times New Roman font. APA writing conventions must be followed and a minimum of five (5) peer-reviewed, scholarly resources (in addition to the text) must be included.
