Taxation Discussion

We’ve been discussing taxation in the form of income taxes for the last couple of weeks. In addition, we’ll continue with our taxation discussion by looking at taxation on goods and services. One of the great debates for taxation and the distribution of an individual’s income by governmental agencies is equitability of the process. This week’s assignment is to review, compare and contrast two articles that articulate issues in taxation and income distribution. Please consider the opinions in each article and provide your viewpoint on current forms of taxation and the use of these tax dollars for society. Is income distribution an issue that government should correct? if so, What do you think is an “equitable” distribution model? Provide a (double-spaced) review of your thoughts regarding this topic.
