How can I find information about this candidate?
Begin with a general search, using “voter guide” websites like ballotpedia or votesmart for basic information.
Then, do a thorough examination of the public information available about this body/candidate. Remember to search online for blogs and online news sources, as well as print media. Websites like RealClearPolitics or other news aggregators are good places to find a lot of sources in one place.
Once you’ve done a very THOROUGH SEARCH, select the most relevant and credible sources, given the topic in your area.

What kinds of stories are there about this entity/candidate in the press (include digital media, blogs, local newspapers/websites, etc.)? Do I have a good variety of sources?
Are they credible? How can a person find good, reliable information about what my candidate does or the issues they address? Are my sources easily accessible to the general public?

What sources did you find most helpful in learning about the candidate? What sources would you suggest to learn more about this candidate/topic? Evaluate the quality of sources you’ve found.
