Part II
Develop a thesis and defend your thesis with an argument. Your paper should present your own argument for your thesis as carefully and clearly as possible.

Your paper must be written in the following format, which has six parts which you identify by number:
1) A title
2) A statement of the thesis you will be defending. Your thesis is also the conclusion of your argument in section 3).
3) An explicit argument for your thesis, with numbered premises and conclusion.
4) A discussion of your argument, where you explain your premises and conclusion more fully. Usually the premises of an argument will themselves require some defense or justification. This is the section of your paper where you should do that. This section is sometimes referred to as the body of a paper.
5) An objection to your thesis.
6) A reply to that objection.

Part II a
A draft of parts 1), 2), 3), 5), and 6) are due in class for discussion in your groups on Tuesday, November 5. Please print out Parts 1), 2), 3), 5), and 6) of your draft.

If you are not ready to participate in discussion with a printed copy Parts 1), 2), 3), 5), and 6) of your draft on November 5, you will lose 10 points from the total score for your paper.

Part II b
The final draft of your paper is due to turnitin.com by 11:59 on Saturday, November 9.

Your final draft should be at least 1200 words in length. If you need to make it longer to discuss the topic adequately, you may.

Please use Times New Roman, 12-point type, with one-inch margins on all sides.

Please double space your work.

Please proofread.
