Project topic: Bedside shift report is an evidence-based practice used to increase nurse and patient satisfaction with effective communication. In acute care hospitals, solid and reliable communication between nurses and patients is crucial, and failure to communicate the plan of care puts patients at risk of harm. Away from the bedside report does not allow the active involvement of patients and nurses. The concept of bedside shift report is not a new practice in nursing. However, it is easy to turn back into hallway reports or nursing station reports if nurses do not realize the benefit of the bedside report and practice consistently.
