Transportation and Logistics Management

I need help with the information in the presentation. I don’t need the powerpoint to be done but the information to go on the slides is what i need. Below is the topic outline. I just need it to be elaborated. The brainstorming questions can be answered to fill the body of the paper. Also the attached document needs to be filled out regarding the sources that are being used.

Topic: The field of study I am pursuing is Transportation and logistics management. Under this project, I will concentrate on land transportation in logistics which is a vital engine of economic development that brings opportunities to different sectors of the society.

Topic Consideration: The driving force behind why I consider this topic is that sometimes we confuse transportation with logistics. I will try to bring out the difference. The fact is that I will talk about some transportation in logistics distinct categories. Examples are steering and distribution forecast, safety in transportation, automated and intelligent transportation systems, modeling of pricing policies for traffic networks and more.

Presentation Outlook: The overall goal of this project is to establish an academic framework for the management of different categories and stages of transportation in logistics. This project will address some of the types of transportation in logistics; for instance, automation and intelligent transportation, pricing and policies for traffic network, manufacturing logistics and safety in transportation. These categories act as the bedrocks of transportation in logistics.

Importance of the Presentation: I choose this topic because land transportation plays important role in transportation and logistics industries. Land transportation has gone through a lot of evolution for many years. Every society since time immemorial depended on some sorts of land transportation. Land transportation is the most useful mode of transport.

Method to Communicating the Presentation: This project will be presented by using PowerPoint.

Transportation in logistics management plays very crucial role in logistics. Without transportation in logistics, delivery of good and services would not happen. Therefore, transportation in logistics simply means delivery of goods from suppliers to customers. Everything and everyone involved in the delivery of products or materials is encompassed by supply chain management, including transportation and logistics management. As mentioned above, transportation in logistics is the reason why logistics experts should focus on transportation, specifically the efficient planning and procurement of transportation for products and materials from manufacturers to retailers and finally to consumers.
