What is the American Dream?
Gregory Mantsios author of Class in America asked several questions before expressing his views on “The Economic Spectrum”: “Are there significant class differences among Americans? If these differences do exist, are they getting bigger or smaller? Do class differences have a significant impact on the way we live? How much upward mobility is there in the United States? Finally, does everyone in the United States really have an equal opportunity to succeed and have an equal voice in our democracy?” (380).
